Navigating the Seaway – meeting sea monsters!

Navigation on the St.Lawrence River requires not only knowledge of navigation and helmsmanship in difficult river conditions with a current of up to 5 knots, but also endurance when a huge vessel passes by you in the narrow channel of the Seaway, specially built in 1959 for the passage of ocean vessels to the Great Lakes.

Ahoy! We are (motor)sailing!

It’s happened! After all the hard work of preparations, we set to sail from the Iroquois Marina. Despite the pouring rain, we were excited with our motor sailings – ships passing by, bridges standing above us, expectations to visit the next marina – the journey has begun!

We are on the water!

After two weeks on the hard in the Iroquois Marina, we are finally launched! There were difficult moments when it was not clear whether the frame crane would be able to lift us, but in the end all the problems were resolved and we also installed the mast. Good job of marina’s team and our crew!
