More data from the Maestro!

The use of the multichannel RBRmaestro for profiling in Kerr Bay allowed us to obtain fairly complete data set of the Physico-chemical parameters of the waters of the bay. Here is a plot of these measured parameters (Temperature, Specific conductance, pH, Dissolved oxygen, turbidity, Chl a):

Working hard and resting well in Kerr Bay

Frank in a rare relaxed state after the electrical wiring work was done

Anchoring in Kerr Bay during the ongoing stormy weather allowed us to put in order a lot of unfinished work during the departure and to rest a little after the tense last weeks. The electrical wiring on the sailboat has been successfully replaced by our Chief Engineer Frank Johnson – this is a huge job, the fruits of which can be understood by sailors who know how important it is to have the good electrical wiring on board the ship. Thank you, Frank! Well dane!

Wonderful sunrises graced our stay in Kerr Bay!

Wave ride to Amherst Island

On a sunny, windy day, we sailed from Kingston for our cruise on Lake Ontario. The windy day soon turned into a stormy one with the corresponding signs – SOS signals in the air from boats in distress, rescue boats rushing past and even our relatively large and heavy sailboat jumping on the waves. We chose the quiet Karr Bay on Amherst Island where we’ve anchored.
