Rimouski

Rimouski is a port in the St.Lawrence Estuary, the scientific and cultural center of Eastern Quebec. The modern and spacious marina welcomed us after short sailing from the BIC.

BIC

After sailing for the rest of the day, we reached Cap a l’Original, which is part of the BIC National Park. In the beautiful Original Cove, we anchored when it was sunset time. The next morning we launched the dinghy and set out to explore the park – it was our first outing on a motorized dinghy and it performed great even in raff waters. BIC National Park is one of the natural heritage sites of Quebec and we appreciated its beauty, walking well along the shore.

Le Gros Cacouna

We spent the first anchorage together in the well-protected port of Gros Cacouna. In the morning we lowered the dinghy and got to the breakwater, along which we reached the ornithological site. This 200-hectare site offers nearly 4 km of trails, which we’ve explored.
